Specifically, State Grid Shanghai invested a total of 5.86 billion yuan ($836.39 million) in grid development over the five years. The company built four 220kV transmission and transformation projects and eight 110kV substations, while increasing overall capacity by 133 percent, providing strong support for the area's rapid development.
This accelerated grid expansion resulted from innovative, intensive management practices. These measures enabled 16 major projects and related programs to be launched intensively within five years, reducing the average construction period by 10 percent and saving over 10 million yuan in costs.
