Chongqing contest sets new records for Chinese arm wrestling

The 2025 Chongqing International Arm Wrestling Open, reputed to have attracted the largest number of competitors and offered the highest prize money in the history of Chinese arm wrestling competitions, took place in the Liangjiang New Area of Chongqing last weekend.
The contest attracted approximately 230 competitors from across China, as well as from Russia and Armenia. Taking place annually in a bustling shopping mall, the event has become a highlight of the city's international cultural and sports scene.
