Premier chairs meeting on drafting of blueprint
Premier Li Qiang chaired a meeting on Monday of the leading group for the formulation of the draft outline of China's 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30) for economic and social development.
Building on the initial progress made in drafting the development blueprint, Li said the next step should be focused on refining and improvement.
To give better play to the guiding role of the blueprint, he said it is essential to set indicators, make policies and plan projects around the theme of promoting high-quality development.
He highlighted the need to clarify tasks and measures to ensure that the five-year plan's objectives align with China's development needs. In addition, efforts have been urged to plan for major projects, programs and platforms that drive overall development.
