5.1-magnitude quake hits sea off Taiwan: CENC

BEIJING -- A 5.1-magnitude earthquake jolted the waters off Hualien county, Taiwan, at 7:24 pm Monday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The epicenter was monitored at 23.78 degrees north latitude and 121.70 degrees east longitude. The earthquake struck at a depth of 20 km, the center said.
