A roundtable on international cooperation in space science was held in Beijing on Friday, attracting more than 100 participants from China and abroad.
Panelists held in-depth discussions on international cooperation and agreed that collaboration is an inevitable trend in the development of space science. They also noted that China has achieved groundbreaking progress in multiple areas of the field.
The discussions explored the roles of major space-faring nations, international space organizations and scientists, as well as cooperation models and practical approaches.
In closing, the panelists called for deeper global collaboration within the space science community to maximize scientific output and contribute to the advancement of human knowledge.
The roundtable, held for the first time by the Chinese Society of Space Research, is a key part of the 4th China Space Science Assembly. It aims to build a high-level international exchange platform by facilitating dialogue among leading global scientists, space agency officials and senior management experts. Organizers said the event is expected to support the development of space science in China and further strengthen international cooperation in the field.
