Scholars discuss paths to development, strategies for governance
Chinese and foreign scholars have discussed exploring paths to development and strategies for governance in a changing world at an international forum in Beijing from Wednesday to Thursday.
Approximately 200 guests from 35 countries and regions attended the International Forum of the Overseas Studies on Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.
Attendees hailed China's progress in its drive to achieve modernization, as well as its efforts to offer more options to developing countries in their own modernization drives and provide Chinese input into the construction of a community with a shared future for humanity.
They emphasized that the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era is important to achieving these results. They stressed the need to advance the overseas studies on it and ensure that more foreign political leaders, scholars and young people understand it fully, alongside unremitting efforts to pursue human progress and a shared future for humanity.
The forum was hosted by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
