Professor Wang Wen, dean of the Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies and the School of Global Leadership at Renmin University of China, has been awarded the Jubilee Medal For Labors Reward by the Free Economic Society of Russia, or VEO, in recognition of his long-term contributions to academic and public exchanges between China and Russia.

The medal was presented at the State Kremlin Palace during the 260th anniversary celebration of the VEO. The Labors Reward medal is among Russia's most prestigious academic honors, issued once every ten years to no more than 15 outstanding figures in science and public diplomacy.

This year's recipients include Russian academicians A. Aganbegyan, S. Glazyev, V. Makarov, and A. Nekipelov, as well as senators and business leaders. Professor Wang is the only Chinese person to receive the medal — a milestone for China-Russia academic cooperation and a symbol of China's growing influence in international scholarly dialogue.
