Automaker leverages premium audio to ride China's intelligent vehicle wave
As China's automotive technology accelerates toward electrification and intelligence-oriented innovation, Beijing Hyundai, the China joint venture of Hyundai Motor Group, is tapping into new opportunities through an upgraded audio experience.
Its in-car audio system now integrates Dolby Atmos to deliver spatial and detailed sound through six built-in speakers, while also offering an optional Bose external amplifier system with eight speakers for enhanced audio performance.
"As the in-car entertainment ecosystem continues to evolve rapidly in China, we are proud to introduce the Dolby Atmos experience in a Hyundai model," Ickkyun Oh, head of the China business division at Hyundai Motor Co, said. "We look forward to expanding this innovative experience to more models and customers around the world."
The upgraded audio experience will be introduced in the Elexio sport utility vehicle model, the company's first fully electric model, developed exclusively for the Chinese market.
The rising consumer demand for intelligent connected vehicles is reshaping automotive entertainment. According to Fortune Business Insights, the global automotive infotainment market is projected to expand from $35.78 billion in 2025 to $58.18 billion by 2032, a compound annual growth rate of 7.2 percent.
