Book explaining Xi's discourses on social security published

A book detailing and explaining important discourses on social security by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, has been published by the People's Publishing House.

Xi's discourses on social security have charted the course and provided fundamental guidance for the high-quality development of China's social security work in the new era.

The book, comprising 15 chapters, expounds on Xi's remarks from the perspectives of experience, situations and missions, and reform measures.

Compiled by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the book is helpful for deepening social security reform and delivering more accessible, reliable and equitable services for the people.

Efforts urged to promote plenum's guiding principles

Cai Qi, a senior official of the Communist Party of China, called on Monday for efforts to effectively promote the guiding principles of the fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee through a lecture program.

Cai, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and a member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks at a mobilization meeting for the lecture program.

He emphasized that these efforts will inspire Party members, officials and the public to take more initiative in advancing socioeconomic development during the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30) period, thereby turning the blueprint into reality.

Vice-president to visit three Middle Eastern nations over nine days

Vice-President Han Zheng will embark on a nine-day visit to three Middle Eastern countries, starting on Tuesday.

At the invitation of Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman and Kuwait's Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, Han will visit Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, where he will engage in in-depth discussions with various parties on bilateral relations and issues of mutual concern.

From Nov 3 to 5, he will attend the Second World Summit for Social Development in Qatar upon invitation.
