Chinese smartphone brands capture 52% of overseas market

Chinese smartphone brands captured 52 percent of the overseas market share during the first half of 2025, a dramatic increase from just 11 percent in 2013, according to the latest data from market research firm Omdia.
This remarkable growth underscores a strategic global expansion, fueled by domestic expertise in technology and distribution channels, coupled with enhanced local production and global operational capabilities.
With the domestic market maturing, emerging markets in Southeast Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa present significant growth opportunities for Chinese brands looking to boost global sales and market presence, according to Omdia.
Amid this expansion, the newly launched iQOO 15 smartphone, designed to attract esports enthusiasts, exemplifies the technological innovation driving this global charge.
It features top-tier specs like the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Supreme Edition and a self-developed Q3 gaming chip. This dedicated chip pioneers the "mobile graphics card" era by integrating full-scene ray tracing and 2K Native Super Resolution, delivering a console-like gaming experience with drastically reduced power consumption, the company said. The iQOO 15 has been designated as the official device for Honor of Kings Professional League, a popular online game.
