Book of Xi's discourses on civil affairs work published

A compilation of excerpts from discourses on works related to civil affairs by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, has been published by the Central Party Literature Press.

The book, featuring six themes, brings together 224 excerpts from over 160 important speeches and written works by Xi between November 2012 and July 2025. Some of the passages have been made public for the first time.

The discourses are of great significance for deepening the reform and innovation of civil affairs work, advancing the implementation of national strategy in response to population aging, and enhancing social governance work, the publisher said.

Senior official vows to deepen cooperation with Greece

Li Xi, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, concluded a four-day official goodwill visit to Greece on Saturday, reaffirming China's commitment to deepening mutually beneficial cooperation.

Li, who is also secretary of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, held talks with Greek President Konstantinos Tassoulas, Speaker of the Hellenic Parliament Nikitas Kaklamanis, Deputy Prime Minister Kostis Hatzidakis, and Secretary of the Political Committee of New Democracy Party Kostas Skrekas.

During his meeting with the Greek president, Li conveyed warm greetings from President Xi Jinping to Tassoulas, saying that under the strategic guidance of President Xi and the Greek leader, the China-Greece comprehensive strategic partnership has made significant progress. China is willing to work with Greece to uphold mutual respect and trust, strengthen strategic communication, deepen exchanges and mutual learning, and promote win-win cooperation.

Li also attended and delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the China-Greece Civilizational Exchange and Mutual Learning Dialogue and visited the Port of Piraeus project.
