Xi sent congratulations to China-Russia friendship committee session
President Xi Jinping extended congratulations to the 15th plenary session of the China-Russia Friendship Committee for Peace and Development that was held on Saturday in Vladivostok, Russia.
Xi emphasized that the committee, over the past 28 years, has stayed true to its founding mission of promoting friendship and cooperation, and fully served the interests of China-Russia relations.
Xi expressed the hope that the committee will take this meeting as an opportunity to actively play the role of the main channel for people-to-people exchanges between the two countries and write a friendly chapter of mutual understanding and solidarity between the two peoples in the new era.
Russian President Vladimir Putin also sent a congratulatory message to the plenary session on Saturday.
Books on Xi's thoughts on family, gender equality published in English
Two compilations of the discourses of President Xi Jinping have been published in English by the Central Compilation and Translation Press.
One of the two compilations focuses on work related to women, children and women's federations, while the other highlights the importance of strengthening family ties, values and traditions.
Both books were compiled and translated by the Institute of Party History and Literature of the Communist Party of China Central Committee.
The release of the English editions comes ahead of this year's Global Leaders' Meeting on Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment in Beijing.
The English editions also serve to share China's wisdom, proposals and approaches in promoting gender equality and the all-around development of women around the world.
