Livestreamer showcases Shenzhen's tech prowess
Taiwan influencer Chen Chih-han, also known as "Guan Zhang" or "the gym boss", livestreamed his arrival in Shenzhen to millions of followers on Wednesday.
His seven-hour broadcast attracted widespread attention, with domestic and foreign media reposting his content. His remarks — including the statement that "Taiwan has lagged behind the mainland for at least a decade" — garnered over 14.48 million views and topped trending lists.
During his visit, Chen explored Shenzhen's urban landscape, touring major scenic spots and tech companies. He experienced cutting-edge innovations, such as piloted flying vehicles, autonomous sightseeing vehicles, and a drone light show.
Domestic media praised Chen's trip, hoping his firsthand accounts would help Taiwan compatriots better understand Shenzhen's technological advancements and multicultural atmosphere.
Chen plans to continue livestreaming his experiences during his eight-day trip to show Taiwan residents the reality of life in the city.
