Guangzhou landslide traps 14, seven rescued

Seven people have been rescued in stable condition as of noon on Wednesday after 14 were found trapped by a landslide that hit Dayuan village in Baiyun district of Guangzhou, Guangdong province.
Continuous heavy rain over the past few days triggered the landslide at 8:30 am on Wednesday, according to the district's emergency management bureau.
Search and rescue work is ongoing for those still trapped, and injury treatment and risk identification are underway.
Residents living in the adjacent areas have been relocated.
