BEIJING -- Tan Ruisong, former board chairman of the Aviation Industry Corporation of China, Ltd., has been indicted for suspected bribery, insider trading and disclosing inside information, the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) said Tuesday.

Upon the SPP's designation, a procuratorate in the city of Dalian, Liaoning province, filed the prosecution after investigations by the National Commission of Supervision and the police department of Chaoyang, Liaoning.

Tan is accused of abusing his various positions to embezzle public assets, seek illicit gains for others and accept significant bribes in return, both involving particularly large sums, according to the SPP.

While in possession of non-public information, Tan repeatedly engaged in securities trading during sensitive periods and disclosed such information to others for related trading activities, the SPP said.

Prosecutors had informed the defendant of his litigation rights, interrogated him and listened to the lawyers' opinions, according to the statement.

The case has been filed at the intermediate people's court of Dalian.
