Shanghai firm builds humanoid robots for diverse roles

Shanghai Xinfu Technology Co Ltd has developed humanoid robots tailored for various applications, including museum guidance, front desk reception and stage acting, the enterprise said on Monday.
It has also developed aesthetically pleasing robots, which are expected to be utilized in promoting traditional Chinese tea culture and Shanghai's intangible cultural heritage among others.
Last month, a humanoid robot developed by the Shanghai enterprise completed a successful live broadcast independently.
Tang Xianbin, design director of Shanghai Xinfu Technology Co Ltd, said the core technological advantages of their robotics products include multimodal perception and interaction technology, as well as motion control and safety mechanisms.
"The robots can achieve precise visual capture through binocular tracking and dynamic recognition and are equipped with auditory systems capable of capturing voice commands and emotional fluctuations," he said.
On Monday, the enterprise also signed a strategic cooperation agreement with China Telecom, for the provision of computing support and high-speed networks for the robots.
The enterprise also collaborated with Shanghai EastWonder Info-tech Co to jointly explore the deep integration of large models for aging and accessibility, mixed reality technology, and robot hardware platforms, developing integrated software and hardware solutions for smart healthcare communities, intelligent elderly care at home, rehabilitation assistance training, and other scenarios.
