Russia launches largest air attack on Ukraine
Russia launched its biggest yet air attack on Ukraine overnight, a Ukrainian official said on Sunday. Russia fired 537 aerial weapons at Ukraine, including 477 drones and decoys and 60 missiles, Ukraine's air force said. Of these, 249 were shot down and 226 were lost. The attack was "the most massive airstrike" on the country during the three-year conflict, taking into account both drones and various types of missiles, said Yuriy Ihnat, head of communications for Ukraine's air force.

Trump's spending bill clears 1st Senate hurdle
The US Senate narrowly advanced President Donald Trump's sweeping tax-cut and spending bill on Saturday. Lawmakers voted 51-49 to open debate on the 940-page mega bill, with two Republicans joining Democrats to oppose the legislation that would fund the president's top immigration, border, tax-cut and military priorities. On social media, Trump hailed the "great victory" for his "great, big, beautiful bill".
