Floods submerge Hunan's Longshan county

Heavy rainfall has caused multiple road collapses and damage to bridges and culverts in Longshan county, Hunan province, with urban flooding submerging several residential areas.
According to the Longshan county emergency management bureau, four residents were reported missing in the underground garage of the Longling International residential community. As of Friday, one individual has been successfully rescued after intensive search efforts and is currently in stable condition. Rescue operations are ongoing.
Longshan has experienced torrential rainfall since the evening of Wednesday. The county activated a Level IV flood control emergency response at 6:00 pm on the day, upgraded it to Level III at 1:30 am on Thursday, and further escalated it to Level II nine hours later, at 10:30 am on Thursday.
Currently, Party members, officials, and residents across the county are working at full capacity on flood prevention, disaster relief, and emergency response efforts.
On Thursday, the Office of the State Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters dispatched a working group to Hunan to guide flood prevention and disaster relief efforts.
