State Grid Jiaxing powers enterprise energy storage project

State Grid Jiaxing Power Supply Company has successfully completed the metering and grid connection for a new energy storage project at Zhejiang Zhongze Precision Technology Co Ltd (ZZ TECH), adding 1,890 kilowatts of new capacity. The project enhances the company's green and low-carbon development strategy.
ZZ TECH, a national-level "Little Giant" specialized in lithium battery structural components, supplies major clients such as electric vehicle battery maker Contemporary Amperex Technology Co Ltd and new energy vehicle maker BYD. As its production scale grows, its electricity demand has also grown steadily. To boost energy efficiency and reduce costs, the company added an energy storage facility to complement its rooftop solar system.
Upon learning about the company's needs, State Grid Jiaxing responded swiftly by dispatching technical experts to provide end-to-end support and established a fast-track service channel for timely project implementation.
"The power company's service was incredibly thoughtful. From project initiation to final connection, they helped us overcome many practical challenges and made it possible to launch the storage system quickly," said a company representative from ZZ TECH.
The newly launched storage project, with a capacity of 1,890 kW/5,495.7 kilowatt-hours, features three grid connection points rated at 630 kW each. It supports a flexible "two-charge-two-discharge" mode, storing energy during off-peak hours and discharging during peak times, effectively flattening load curves.
Projections suggest that the system will save the company over 1 million yuan ($139,254) in electricity costs annually. Beyond cost savings, it eases the load on the power grid, cuts carbon emissions and helps the company achieve both economic and environmental benefits.
