On Sunday's World Oceans Day, fishermen in Rongcheng, a county-level city in Shandong province, were busy working at sea, while tourists spent leisure time on offshore platforms.
By developing eco-friendly marine tourism and modern aquaculture, the city has established a multi-level marine ranching model that ensures ecological protection and economic growth.
To date, Rongcheng has established 12 national-level marine ranching demonstration zones and 17 provincial-level ones, featuring various models, including recreational fishing and leisure tourism.
