Party veteran deceased in Beijing

Raidi, former vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, died of an illness at the age of 87 in Beijing on Friday, Xinhua News Agency reported.
According to Xinhua, Raidi, a member of the Tibetan ethnic group, was a veteran member of the Communist Party of China and was known for his work on ethnic affairs and socialist legal construction.
Raidi was a renowned member of the Party and a loyal communist stalwart, Xinhua said.
