Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Wednesday that the military has killed Mohammed Sinwar, the presumed leader of Hamas in Gaza and the younger brother of the group's slain chief Yahya Sinwar.
Speaking in a parliament plenary session, Netanyahu said Israel was at a "dramatic turning point" in its war against Hamas and that the military had "eliminated Mohammed Sinwar".
There was no immediate confirmation from Hamas or independent sources regarding Sinwar's death.
