Damao Banner adorned in natural purple spectacle by wild irises

A vast stretch of wild iris flowers has carpeted the grasslands of Damao Banner in Baotou city, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, creating a rare natural spectacle.
Thanks to abundant rainfall recently, the 333-hectare natural iris field entered its peak blooming period in late May, around 10 days earlier than usual.
The vibrant purple blossoms are expected to remain in full bloom until mid-to-late June, offering an extended window for visitors to admire the breathtaking scenery, according to the local authorities.
