ECARX, Qualcomm deepen ties on Snapdragon solutions


ECARX, a global automotive technology provider, announced on Tuesday a new phase of strategic collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies, aimed at accelerating the industry's transition toward intelligent, software-defined vehicles.
Building on a longstanding relationship, the two companies will integrate ECARX's full-stack hardware and software capabilities—already successfully applied in over 8.1 million vehicles globally—with multiple generations of Qualcomm Technologies' Snapdragon Cockpit Platforms.
The goal is to jointly develop an adaptable and innovative product matrix for the next generation of connected vehicles.
"This renewed strategic collaboration integrates Qualcomm Technologies' foundational innovations with ECARX's engineering execution expertise, driving faster innovation, ecosystem synergy, and the delivery of hardware-software integrated solutions," the companies said in a joint statement.
Qualcomm Technologies' Snapdragon Cockpit Platforms offer a secure, feature-rich portfolio of system-on-chips widely deployed by leading global automakers. The company continues to play a leading role in advancing automotive transformation through its cutting-edge semiconductor technologies.
As a full-stack automotive intelligence solution provider, ECARX is expanding its global presence by partnering with a growing number of OEMs to bring advanced digital technologies into mass production.
The collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies further positions ECARX to support the deployment of intelligent solutions at scale.
The two companies emphasized that their deepened partnership is designed to seize the strategic opportunity presented by AI-driven transformation across the automotive industry.
