China tops number of Global Geoparks

China has another two sites that gained official titles of Global Geoparks, making the nation keep topping the world as to the number of Global Geoparks.
The UNESCO approved China's Kanbula in the northwestern province of Qinghai and Yunyang in the nation's southwestern Chongqing city as Global Geoparks at its 221st session of the Executive Board in Paris on Thursday night local time, according to a release by the National Forestry and Grassland Administration on Friday.
Adding the two new sites, China so far has 49 Global Geoparks, ranking first in the world.
