Wuxi's new beauty industry park to fuel sector growth
The Jiangnan Beauty Bay, a beauty and healthcare industrial park, officially opened in Xinwu district, Wuxi, Jiangsu province, on April 2. Over 20 key projects, enterprises, institutions, and platforms signed agreements to join the park.
With a total investment of 500 million yuan ($68.82 million), the park is a joint initiative between Jiangnan University and Xinwu district. Specializing in synthetic biology, it provides full-industrial-chain services, supporting businesses in project launch, innovation, commercialization, and market expansion.
The park hosts companies across various industry segments, including research and development, testing and inspection, technical consulting, functional ingredients, branding, and live streaming. Among them is Dexter, a Wuxi-based baby skincare brand and the first in its field to surpass 1 billion yuan in revenue in China. The company has been operating in a 3,000-square-meter space within Jiangnan Beauty Bay for the past two months.
