Two people trapped in Sichuan landslide rescued

Two people trapped in a landslide that struck Junlian county, Sichuan province, on Saturday morning have been successfully rescued and are out of danger, local authorities said.
The incident occurred at around 11:50 am in the county's Jinping village in Mu'ai township. Several houses were buried and some residents were trapped, according to a statement released by the county's emergency management bureau.
Higher authorities, along with the local Party committee and government, have established an emergency rescue command center and dispatched teams to the scene, the statement said.
Details of the incident are still being verified, it said.
