This year marks the 25th anniversary of Macao's return to the motherland, as well as the 5th anniversary of the official release of the Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Liu Jun, rector of the City University of Macau, said in an interview with China Daily that the "Outline" has granted Macao a long-term development positioning as "One Center, One Platform, One Base", which gives the universities in Macao more opportunities. He also highlighted that the strength of Macao's universities lies in "one country, two systems" and multiculturalism.
