National conference tackles digital copyright challenges

On Thursday, the Eighth National Conference on Copyright Protection and Development in Digital Environment, hosted by the National Copyright Administration, opened in Guiyang, capital of Guizhou province.
The two-day event, themed "Strengthening Legal Protections for Copyright to Support New Quality Productive Forces", aims to bolster online copyright protection and drive cultural innovation through improved copyright governance.
Key discussions included copyright management for AI-generated content, copyright challenges of online mini-series, and the legalization of software in key industries.
The conference issued the first batch of exemplary cases in building a copyright powerhouse, China's top 10 anti-piracy cases of 2023, and documents related to software legalization in critical sectors.
