Xiong'an New Area welcomes aerospace innovation alliance
On Wednesday, the China Aerospace Information and Satellite Network Innovation Alliance was officially established in Hebei province's Xiong'an New Area, marking a new era in satellite network and aerospace information cooperation in China.
The alliance has laid a solid foundation for coordinated development and multi-party collaboration and strengthened international communication and exchanges, which is important for promoting the growth of aerospace information and satellite internet services, according to a statement from the alliance at a ceremony on Wednesday.
The new alliance was registered in Xiong'an New Area on Oct 9. It is a national organization involving key players in telecom, aerospace and related research institutes. It was jointly initiated by members covering major State-owned telecom operators, including China Telecom, China Unicom, China Mobile and key central enterprises such as China Satellite Network Group.
Key events at Wednesday's conference included an alliance unveiling ceremony, the announcement of a high-quality development initiative and the launch of a public test for the BDS-3 short message communication service.
