Xi urges BRICS cooperation to win more opportunities for Global South

KAZAN, Russia -- Chinese President Xi Jinping said Tuesday during his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin that he expected to have an in-depth discussion with Putin and other world leaders over the future development of the BRICS cooperation mechanism, in a bid to win more opportunities for the Global South.
Xi arrived in Kazan earlier in the day for the 16th BRICS Summit.
