"China is an ancient civilization, and Russia is also an independent civilization," said Vladimir Petrovskiy, a Russian scholar at the 2024 Beijing Culture Forum on Sept 20. He stated that China and Russia need to understand each other better, which is the only possible way to develop cooperation and friendship.
