A video clip captured by a local shows the two individuals being caught in the flood while riding an electric bicycle together. The water eventually swept them beneath the undercarriage of a large bus.
According to Xinhuanghe, an online news outlet, sources from the Jinpu police sub-bureau's Xianjin police station have indicated that the preliminary investigation suggests the two deceased individuals drowned in the incident.
