HONG KONG -- Hong Kong's Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) said it will open its building at North Point to the public for the weekend starting Saturday and the following weekend to showcase the commission's anti-graft efforts over its 50-year history.

Out of around 19,000 people who signed up for the event, about 6,000 won tickets earlier through computer balloting, according to the ICAC.

Debuting at this year's open day event is an "ICAC TV Drama Series Exhibition" that features memorable still shots and footage of the commission's signature TV drama series "ICAC Investigators" produced since its establishment. Classic ICAC promotional posters and historic photos will also be on display for the first time.

Other highlights include a display of firearms used by ICAC officers over the years, as well as tours to the ICAC's video interview room, identification parade suite and detention center.

"By reflecting on the past and looking toward the future, we hope to demonstrate ICAC's unwavering commitment to its anti-corruption mission and determination to strive for innovation in enhancing our capabilities," Regional Officer of ICAC's Community Relations Department Chui Yu-ming said.
