US students revel in Wuxi's modern, ancient vibes

A delegation of US students participating in the Collegiate Immersion Bootcamp for US-Based Institutions to Jiangsu visited Wuxi, Jiangsu province, on Aug 5, exploring the city's modern development and ancient culture.
Their first stop was the Yadea Technology Group, where they were impressed by the excellent design and exquisite craft of various e-bikes, witnessing the entire manufacturing process for an e-bike, which takes only 23 minutes.
Then, they toured the sister-cities gift exhibition at the Wuxi Civic Center and enjoyed a cruise along the Grand Canal, taking in the scenic cityscape on both sides while experiencing the city's one-of-a-kind Jiangnan culture and unique charm.
The students will also participate in a series of activities in Nanjing and engage in discussions on topics such as artificial intelligence, green and low-carbon initiatives, and urban renewal.
This year marks the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the United States. Over the following five years, 50,000 US youths will be invited to visit China to get a further understanding of the country.
