Shanghai Disney Resort celebrates Global Tiger Day with conservation initiatives
A key initiative is the annual Amur tiger habitat ranger competition, which encourages rangers to enhance their monitoring and protection skills. This year, Shanghai Disney Resort invited the 6th and 7th competition champions and their families to visit Disneyland, and had the rangers leading Mickey's Storybook Express parade alongside Tigger, a cartoon character from Winnie-the-Pooh stories.
The tiger habitat rangers also shared stories about their work at the Shanghai Library on Sunday, allowing students and parents to learn about wildlife conservation firsthand.
In addition to its Amur tiger initiatives, Shanghai Disney Resort raises environmental awareness through numerous programs and experiences, including "ourHOME" Nature Conservation Forum, monthly bird-watching events at Wishing Star Park, coastal cleanup efforts protecting shorebird habitats, and youth education initiatives cultivating environmental stewardship.
