Xi sends greetings after Rwanda's Kagame wins
President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory message to Paul Kagame on Tuesday on his reelection as president of Rwanda.
Xi said in the message that Rwanda is traditionally a country that is friendly with China. In recent years, the relationship between the two countries has developed rapidly with fruitful cooperation, and their traditional friendship has been deepened, he said.
Xi said that he is ready to work with Kagame to further enhance political mutual trust, expand and deepen practical cooperation in various fields, and take the bilateral relationship to a new level.
Premier congratulates von der Leyen on reelection
Premier Li Qiang extended a message to Ursula von der Leyen on Tuesday to offer congratulations on her reelection as the president of the European Commission.
The Chinese government has always given priority to developing ties with the European Union and attaches great importance to the important role and influence of the European Commission, Li said.
China is willing to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation across the board and jointly respond to global challenges with the EU to help further improve the public wellbeing of both sides and uphold global stability and prosperity, he added.
