Air Serbia announces direct flights to Guangzhou
Air Serbia said it will open a direct flight route between Belgrade, Serbia, and Guangzhou, Guangdong province, starting on Sept 30, further strengthening the connection between the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Europe.
The new direct flights will operate twice weekly — on Mondays and Fridays — using an Airbus 330 model, Air Serbia said on Friday.
Flight JU988 will depart Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport at 12:50 am, local time, and land at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport at 5:10 pm on Mondays and Fridays. The return flight, JU989, will take off from Guangzhou at 10:10 pm on Mondays and Fridays and land at Belgrade 4:30 am the next day.
Air Serbia is also planning to open another direct route in December linking Belgrade with Shanghai, a financial hub in East China.
The opening of the new Serbia-Guangzhou route will make the connection between China and Serbia even closer, further promoting cooperation and exchanges in economy, trade, culture and tourism, it said.
