Bus rams cars, 9 people in Tianjin; 1 dead

Nine people were injured in Tianjin on Monday when a bus struck two parked cars and several pedestrians. One of the pedestrians died later.
The crash happened at about 8:40 pm near the intersection of Hangzhou Road and Fangzhen Road, local police said in a statement on Tuesday.
All nine injured individuals were taken to the hospital, and one died despite rescue efforts.
The bus driver, surnamed Yang, a 52-year-old man, was detained by the police. A preliminary investigation indicated that Yang experienced a physical event that led to his losing control of the bus. No other details were given.
