OQS cyclist rescues trapped driver in Shanghai car crash

A cyclist surnamed Bao, in Shanghai for the Olympic Qualifier Series (OQS), and his teammates swiftly saved a trapped driver after a car crash near South Xizang Road on Sunday.
The driver, a 44-year-old woman named Liang, suffered a sudden heart issue while driving the minivan, causing the accident, according to a press release by the local police in Shanghai's Huangpu district.
She was immediately sent to the hospital and has no life-threatening injuries. No other people were involved in the accident as the police are conducting further investigation.
Describing the accident, Bao said in a video interview with local news portal The Paper: "The vehicle suddenly lost control, hit the median and flipped over. Seeing the person inside wasn't moving, we rushed to rescue first and then called for assistance to flip the car back."
The OQS event is set to take place at the Shanghai World Expo Park near the Huangpu River waterfront from May 16 to 19.
