3 deaths in firecracker factory explosion

Three people died and two others were injured in Liling, Hunan province after a local firecracker factory exploded on Friday morning, according to local authorities.

Local police, emergency management, firefighters, and health authorities rushed to the scene to carry out search and rescue work, the Liling Emergence Management Bureau said in a statement.

The injured people are under treatment and an investigation into the incident is underway, the statement added.
