All-aboard! 11-Day tourist train circles Qinghai, Gansu, Xizang
The China Railway Qinghai-Xizang Group recently launched a special train service to meet tourists' needs, initiating an 11-day grand circle tour encompassing the provinces of Qinghai, Gansu, and the Xizang autonomous region.
On Sunday, the tourist train embarked on its maiden voyage from the Xining Station of Qinghai province, carrying over 100 passengers hailing from Beijing, Jiangsu and Hong Kong. According to the company, this train is designed to provide an unparalleled travel experience for tourists. It has all-soft-sleepers and oxygen equipment.
The train has a boutique dining car offering 24-hour hot water and meal services. A team of travel butlers and medical professionals will accompany passengers throughout the 11-day expedition.
During the tour, passengers will traverse diverse landscapes, including deserts, snow-capped mountains, salt lakes and grasslands, while immersing themselves in the rich local culture of the regions visited.
In the past five years, the company has responded to the growing demand for popular tourist destinations by operating nearly 50 tourist trains in various directions, including Northeast China, the Xizang and Xinjiang autonomous regions, Hong Kong and Macao.
