In Fushan, the town is giving full play to its unique resources, by bolstering hillside planting and rural tourism, as ways to boost its rural vitalization.
Li Wende, Party secretary of East Lijiazhuangzi village, said: "Our village is developing cherry planting as a characteristic fresh fruit in Fushan. At present, our cherry industry has become a unique undertaking to enrich villager's income. By turning more hillside wasteland into cherry orchards, we aim to turn our cherry planting base into an idyllic integrated complex used for tourism, fruit-picking, catering and entertainment."
Besides expanding cherry orchards, Fushan town is also developing other agricultural industries such as special agricultural products and edible fungi, Li said.
"This will make the villagers lives more affluent and make them happier," he said.
