Premier, top legislator meet with Micronesian president
Premier Li Qiang and top legislator Zhao Leji met with Micronesian President Wesley W. Simina separately in Beijing on Wednesday.
Li said that under the framework of high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, China is ready to advance cooperation with Micronesia in infrastructure construction, agriculture, fisheries, healthcare and other fields.
China is ready to work with Micronesia to tackle climate change and other global challenges, Li added.
Zhao, chairman of the National People's Congress Standing Committee, said during his meeting with Simina that the NPC is willing to strengthen friendly exchanges with the Congress of the Federated States of Micronesia and provide legal guarantees for bilateral practical cooperation.
Simina thanked China for supporting the country's economic and social development, saying that Micronesia is ready to strengthen cooperation with China in various areas and bring more benefits to the two peoples.
CPC, Workers' Party of Brazil vow to boost exchanges
The Communist Party of China is willing to join hands with the Workers' Party of Brazil to further strengthen inter-party relations, Li Xi, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, said on Wednesday.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral relations between the two parties.
In a meeting with a delegation led by Gleisi Hoffmann, president of the Workers' Party of Brazil, Li said Beijing would like to promote friendly exchanges, enhance political mutual trust and deepen strategic cooperation with Brasilia.
Hoffmann said that the Workers' Party hopes to work with the CPC to strengthen exchanges in Party building and governance.
China to enhance mutual trust with El Salvador
Vice-President Han Zheng underscored on Wednesday China's readiness for stronger political mutual trust with El Salvador, calling for deeper bilateral cooperation in building the Belt and Road and promoting people-to-people exchanges.
Han made the remarks when meeting in Beijing with a senior delegation led by the leader of El Salvador's New Ideas Party and the country's Vice-President-elect Felix Ulloa.
While lauding the rapid development of bilateral ties since the two nations established diplomatic ties over five years ago, Han highlighted the willingness of the Communist Party of China to build a new type of political party relations with the New Ideas Party of El Salvador in order to push for steady and long-term bilateral relations.
Ulloa said that his party is willing to learn from the experience of the CPC in national governance.
