Coal mine roof accident kills two in Hebei

SHIJIAZHUANG -- Two people trapped in a coal mine roof accident in North China's Hebei province have been confirmed dead, the coal mine company said Saturday.
A shaft roof collapsed at 4:42 am Friday at a mine of Jizhong Energy Resources Co Ltd in the city of Xingtai, leaving two people trapped, according to a statement issued by the company on its website.
As of 6:50 pm Saturday, the two people had been confirmed dead and the cause of the accident is being investigated.
