Coach carrying 51 rams into tunnel wall, leaving 14 dead

Fourteen people were killed and 37 others were injured in a traffic accident that occurred in a tunnel on an expressway passing Shanxi province on Tuesday, according to Shanxi expressway traffic police, quoted by a report by China Media Group on Wednesday morning.
A coach carrying 51 people collided with the Xijiata Tunnel's wall at 2:37 pm on Tuesday on the G59 Hubei Expressway, which links Hohhot in Inner Mongolia autonomous region to Beihai in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.
Thirteen people died at the site and the injured were rushed to hospital. The coach had a license plate from Henan province.
The section of the expressway has resumed normal operation. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
