Former head of public security bureau sentenced to prison for bribery in Tangshan

Ma Aijun, former head of the Lubei district branch of the Tangshan public security bureau, in Tangshan, Hebei province, has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for his crimes of bending the law for personal gain and bribery, according to a report by The Paper on Monday, quoting a WeChat article by the People's Court of Guangyang District in Langfang.
According to the court, Ma was the protective umbrella of a case in which some men violently beat several women at a barbecue restaurant in June 2022 in Tangshan.
Ma, who was also a former member of the Party Committee of the Tangshan Public Security Bureau, was also fined 700,000 yuan for his crimes.
