STOCKHOLM -- A train driver died and five passengers were landed in hospital with injuries after a commuter train crashed into a truck in southwestern Sweden on Monday.
The accident happened after a truck got stuck in snow at a railway crossing near Uddevalla, a town in the southwest.
According to witnesses, the truck driver had tried to signal the train driver before the vehicle was struck at high speed, Swedish Police said in a press release.
