Rail network to see 63 million passenger trips during holiday

China's railway network is expected to handle 63 million passenger trips during the upcoming New Year holiday rush, which starts on Friday, according to the national railway operator China State Railway Group.
The peak day is projected to fall on Saturday during the five-day travel rush, which will end on Jan 2. On Saturday, 15 million trips are expected to be made.
During the holiday rush, an average of 10,680 trains are set to be operated everyday, ensuring to meet travelers' needs.
