Former Air China VP Fan Cheng under investigation for disciplinary, legal violations
Chinese authorities announced on Thursday that Fan Cheng, a former senior official at Air China, is under investigation for alleged violations of disciplines of Communist Party of China and the national law.
The Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Commission of Supervision jointly issued a statement confirming the investigation, which is being conducted by inspectors from the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission and local disciplinary and supervisory departments in Dalian, Liaoning province.
Fan Cheng previously held several high-level positions at Air China, including Party secretary, board director, and vice-president. He was also a member of the Leading Party Members' group at the China National Aviation Holding Corporation Limited.
